Meet the New Mexico Power Pass Mountains
Sandia Peak — Just a short drive from Albuquerque, this mountain makes spontaneous ski days possible. Sandia’s convenience as the closest ski resort to a metropolitan area is unbeatable.
Sipapu — Famous for having the longest ski season in New Mexico, opening early and closing late. The spot for families, learners, and anyone who appreciates a relaxed, skiing first culture near Taos.
Pajarito — High above Los Alamos, Pajarito delivers incredible views and a challenge for more advanced skiers and riders looking for steep terrain and a strong community feel.
Upgrades That Make a Difference
Sandia Peak: Chair 4 was fully reconstructed. A new magic carpet is being installed for beginners. Plans to revive Chair 2 and upgrade snowmaking.
Sipapu: Replacing Lift 3, five new snowmaking hydrants on Butterfly, two new high-efficiency snowmaking pumps, a refurbished snowcat, and $50K in new rental equipment.
Pajarito: Jemez Mountain Fire Protection Project — pipeline from Los Alamos for snowmaking water, electric and fiber upgrades, and advanced fire protection systems.
